The Titans list Darius Reynaud as a running back on their depth chart, and he’s also played wide receiver in the league. His primary role in Tennessee is return specialist, though, and he’s replacing a pretty good one on Marc Mariani.
So far, Reynaud has been more than up to the task. With a dominant return performance in Week Three against the Detroit Lions, Reynaud earned AFC special teams player of the week honors.
Reynaud averaged 43.5 yards on four kickoff returns, including an 105-yard return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Reynaud played a role in another return touchdown in the same game, catching Ben Graham’s first-quarter punt and lateraling to Tommie Campbell, who raced 65 yards to pay dirt.
Reynaud’s 105-yard kick return is the longest play in Titans franchise history.
