Packers guard T.J. Lang dealt with injuries to both shoulders during the 2016 season and he’ll have surgery on at least one of them this offseason.
Lang told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that he will have surgery on his right shoulder on Wednesday. He doesn’t know if he’ll also have surgery on his left shoulder at this point, although he said during the regular season that he doesn’t want to go through the final year of his contract with the potential for more serious problems than the ones that affected him in 2015.
“I don’t want to look too far ahead, but I don’t want to be playing next year with more pain than what I have right now,” Lang said, via ESPN.com. “Obviously, that’s a business decision.”
Lang moved into the starting lineup for the Packers in 2011 and has missed two games since then, including one game last season.
