Stevie Johnson tells Plaxico he’s sorry

Buffalo Bills v New York Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - NOVEMBER 27: Steve Johnson #13 of the Buffalo Bills celebrating after scoring a touchdown during a game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on November 27, 2011 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Bills were penalized 15 yards for excessive celebration as Johnson was apparently mimicking the self-inflicted gunshot wound of Plaxico Burress #17 of the New York Jets. Plaxico Burress took the high road once again regarding Stevie Johnson’s touchdown celebration on Monday.

“I don’t want everybody just saying he’s a bad guy because he made a mistake. I’ve made a few in my life,” Buress told Michael Kay on 1050 ESPN Radio

Burress told Kay that Johnson texted an apology and left a voice message for him. So that should close the book on the story until we hear Johnson’s fine from the league.

Now we can move on to more important matters like: How come no one is talking about Dave Rayner’s ground ball kickoff costing the Bills points?
