Steve Hutchinson may be heading back to Seattle.
Hutchinson, the seven-time Pro Bowl guard who was released by the Vikings last week, is visiting with the Seahawks today, Mike Sando of ESPN.com reports.
Six years ago, Hutchinson signed one of the most controversial contracts in NFL history to leave Seattle: He was a restricted free agent, and he and the Vikings agreed to a seven-year, $49 million deal with a “poison pill” that prevented the Seahawks from matching. There were some hard feelings at the time, but a different regime in Seattle now would welcome Hutchinson back as a player who could bolster their offensive line.
The 34-year-old Hutchinson started 14 games for the Vikings last season.
