For the fourth straight year, the Pittsburgh Steelers will spend a Sunday looking like prison-bound bumblebees.
The team has announced that the players will wear uniforms modeled after their 1934 duds on November 1, against the Bengals.
Unveiled in the team’s 80th season, the Steelers wore the uniforms twice in 2012 (against Washington and Baltimore), once in 2013 (against the Lions), and once in 2014 (against the Colts).
While football is a game of tradition, some aspects of history need not be embraced. The 1934 version of the uniform of the Steelers is one aspect of history that, in the opinion of some, should be permanently forgotten.
