Maybe the Steelers were impressed by Cody Wallace’s willingness to do whatever it takes to win last year.

Whatever the reason, they have rewarded him for it.

The Steelers announced they had kept Wallace with a three-year deal Tuesday.

A backup interior lineman, Wallace came into the league as a fourth-round pick of the 49ers, and has also spent time with the Lions, Jets, Texans and Buccaneers.

Now, he can put down roots. Hopefully not too deeply, however.
