Brice McCain found out this offseason that long-term deals aren’t always long term.
Now he’ll get another shot at what is likely a shorter commitment.
According to his agent David Canter, McCain is signing with the Steelers.
The cornerback was a year into a three-year, $5.25 million deal with the Texans when he was cut earlier this offseason.
McCain didn’t have a great 2013 (hence the unemployment), but he could be a quality reserve/special teamer in the right situation. The Steelers are still going to be looking for cornerback help, but he gives them some insurance.
