Son of Randy Moss closing in on picking a college

Randy Moss, one of the all-time greatest receivers in NFL history, has a son who has become one of the top tight end prospects in the NFL. And Thaddeus Moss is closing in on choosing a college.

Via NFL.com, the Charlotte Mallard Creek High School senior has narrowed his list of potential schools to six: Georgia, USC, UCLA, North Carolina State, Nebraska, and Arizona State.

More than twenty years ago, Thad’s dad initially accepted a scholarship to Notre Dame, which was rescinded after Randy faced criminal charges following a fight at his high school. Randy then went to Florida State, but he was kicked off the team after testing positive for marijuana while on probation. He then transferred to Marshall and became a superstar.

In 1998, Randy Moss vowed to rip up the NFL -- and he did, playing for the Vikings through 2004, the Raiders in 2005 and 2006, the Patriots from 2007 through 2010, the Vikings again for a few weeks in 2010, the Titans for the rest of 2010, and then the 49ers in 2012 after sitting out 2011.

At six feet and four inches, Thaddeus Moss weighs 240 pounds. Blink your eyes and we’ll be talking about Thaddeus Moss getting ready to make his NFL debut.

And, yes, I managed to write this entire article without pointing out that the decision on a college decision will be based on which school is willing to give Moss the most straight cash.
