For those of you who follow hockey (or the PFT Twitter page), you’ve learned by now that the Columbus Blue Jackets have launched for the 2015-16 season a series of excellent, hand-drawn, game day posters. The artist, as I’ve mentioned a time or two (or at least 10) on Twitter, is my nephew, Anthony Zych.
So after he put together an excellent Fargo-based poster for a recent game between the Blue Jackets and the Minnesota Wild, I asked Anthony to make a game day poster for NBC’s first playoff game of the year, featuring Seattle at Minnesota in very cold conditions.
Here’s a link to the full-size image.
The decision to go with Vikings without sleeves or jackets is a nice touch, an homage to the Bud Grant-coached teams that eschewed any external means of keeping warm.
