Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford said last month that he expects to be signed before the start of training camp. But he said today that he doesn’t know much about the status of his contract, and doesn’t think his agent, Tom Condon, has begun negotiations.
“To be honest, I really don’t even think my agent is talking contract yet,” Bradford said today on the Dan Patrick Show. “I think that’s something that’s going to happen in the next couple weeks, though.”
The Rams open training camp on July 28, so Bradford, Condon and the team have three weeks to get a deal done -- or else the first overall pick in the draft won’t be in camp on time.
Ultimately, Bradford said, he’ll sign his contract, “Whenever my agent feels comfortable with it.”
