There’s nothing official yet on the status of Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill and his injured left knee. Unofficially, however, it’s not looking good.
I say that because, per a source with knowledge of the situation, “It’s not looking good.” The source added that more will be known tomorrow, presumably after an MRI on the knee is performed.
Tannehill’s demeanor and interactions with teammates after he returned to the sideline in street clothes suggest that the preliminary news isn’t good.
The injury happened when Tannehill took a low hit from Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell. Tannehill limped off before going to the locker room for evaluation.
UPDATE 5:20 p.m. ET: Per multiple sources, the Dolphins believe it’s a torn ACL.
