Rodgers thinks Packers fans love Favre again

The last time Brett Favre played in Green Bay, he was the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, and he was booed off the field by Packers fans. But times have changed.

That’s the word from Aaron Rodgers, who said on NFL Network that Packers fans love Favre again, as they did throughout his tenure as the Packers’ starting quarterback. Rodgers said that with the team inducting Favre into the Packers Hall of Fame this weekend, Favre is going to get a very warm reception.

“I hope he gets the reception he deserves. I’m sure he will,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers also said he has warm feelings toward Favre personally, crediting Favre with showing him how a quarterback should lead a football team. There may have been a time when neither Rodgers nor the fans in Green Bay thought much of Favre, but that time is in the past.
