Last year, Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh signed his one-year tender offer because he was happy about it, but because he was, as he said, “stuck in a bind” as a restricted free agent.

A year later, McIntosh is still stuck in an uncertain labor environment, not sure when he’ll be able to sign, and whether his free agency will be restricted or unrestricted. But now McIntosh says he’s done being unhappy about his situation.

“I’m over the ‘mad’ part. I was mad [last year],” McIntosh told CSNwashington.com. “But everything is cool and I’m at peace with everything and I’m going to take it one day at a time and see what happens.”

In other words, McIntosh knows he’s stuck waiting to find out what the rules of free agency are this year. And as he found out last year, getting angry about it won’t do him any good.
