Drew Brees isn’t the only NFL player dipping into his wallet to help organize practices this offseason.
Bill Williamson of ESPN.com writes via a news release from Maximum Sports Management that Seymour is handling the cost of a four day Raiders camp that include weight lifting, swimming and “nutritional counseling.” We mentioned Tuesday the camp is being held in the Atlanta area.
An email sent to all Raiders from Seymour started this way: “Men, I hope everyone is well and is staying in shape because we are going to out-work everyone we face this season, and it starts right now in the offseason.”
We think the Seymour trade to the Raiders worked out for both sides, and the only reason it’s not one-sided towards Oakland is that the Raiders had to pay Seymour like one of the best players in football over the last few years to keep him.
The Raiders must be happy he’s re-investing that money in the team.
