Robert Griffin Jr., the father of Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III, has been sentenced to jail time for driving 115 miles an hour early one August morning on I-64 in Virginia, not far from where his son’s team was at training camp.

According to the Newport News Daily Press, Griffin Jr. was ticketed by a Hampton police officer at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, for driving nearly double the 60 mph speed limit.

This week, a judge found Griffin Jr. guilty of reckless driving and sentenced him to 60 days in jail, with 50 days suspended. He will have to serve the remaining 10 days over five consecutive weekends, starting the first weekend in October.

Griffin Jr. frequently attends his son’s training camp practices. The arrest took place during the first weekend of the team’s training camp this year.
