The Carroll section of the Seahawks coaching staff is reportedly getting a little bigger.
The 2014 staff featured head coach Pete Carroll and assistant wide receivers coach Nate Carroll, who also happens to be Pete Carroll’s son. Christy Cabrera Chirinos of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that number will grow to three for the 2015 season when Brennan Carroll joins the staff as an offensive assistant.
Brennan Carroll has been the wide receivers coach and national recruiting coordinator at the University of Miami for the last two years and was the team’s tight ends coach for two seasons in addition to his recruiting duties. Moving to Seattle will reunite him with his father and a past boss as Brennan filled a variety of roles on the USC staff while Pete was the head coach in Los Angeles.
The Seahawks haven’t announced the move, which would be one of several for a team that’s lost defensive assistants Dan Quinn, Marquand Manuel and Ken Norton Jr. since losing in the Super Bowl on February 1.
