Report: Patriots are expected to sign DL DaQuan Jones

The Patriots are set to add some defensive line help as they try to avoid an 0-2 start to the season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that they are expected to sign DaQuan Jones. It is reported to be a one-year deal with a $3.5 million base salary and a maximum value of $6 million.

The Patriots saw Jones fairly frequently over the last four seasons as he was a member of the Bills. He started all 51 regular season games he played in Buffalo and recorded 99 tackles, 10 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also had 13 tackles in eight playoff appearances.

Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, and Cory Durden saw the most playing time on the defensive line for the Patriots in Wednesday’s 13-10 loss to the Seahawks.
