The NFL has released the names of the seven men who will officiate Super Bowl XLV, with referee Walt Anderson leading the crew.

Officials are assigned to the Super Bowl based on their previous experience and the quality of their work during the 2010 season: League rules stipulate that an official must have at least five years of NFL experience and must have worked a playoff game in the past, and among the officials who meet those criteria, the league chooses the highest-rated official at each position to work the game.

The other members of the Super Bowl XLV officiating crew are umpire Chad Brown, head linesman Kent Payne, line judge John Hussey, field judge Doug Rosenbaum, side judge Mike Weatherford and back judge Scott Helverson.

This will be Anderson’s second Super Bowl.
