Since new head coach Jay Gruden decided to hang onto defensive coordinator Jim Haslett, massive changes on the defensive staff weren’t expected.

But the team announced today that defensive backs coach Raheem Morris was being brought back, along with defensive line coach Jacob Burney and the previously reported return of Kirk Olivadotti to coach inside linebackers.

Morris was well-regarded as a secondary coach prior to being over-promoted into the Buccaneers head coaching job.

Along with the addition of former Browns assistant Brian Baker to coach outside linebackers, the Redskins defensive staff is largely set, unless they add some younger quality control coaches.
