We noted this morning that it was likely, and now the Redskins have made it official: Free agent linebacker Bryan Kehl has signed with the Redskins.

Kehl has mostly been a special teams player in his five-year NFL career, although with the Redskins having only three inside linebackers on the roster (London Fletcher, Perry Riley and Lorenzo Alexander), Kehl may end up getting significant playing time on defense as well.

A fourth-round draft pick of the Giants in 2008, Kehl played in New York until he was waived in September of 2010. He was then claimed by the Rams, where he played in 2010 and 2011 before being released this year.
