The Ravens have added a veteran wide receiver who made some splash plays in Washington’s NFC East-winning season of 2012 to their offseason roster.
Baltimore has signed Aldrick Robinson to a reserve/future contract, per the NFL’s Thursday personnel notice. Robinson finished the season on the Ravens’ practice squad.
The 26-year-old Robinson has hauled in 30 passes for 608 yards and five touchdowns since entering the NFL as a sixth-round pick out of SMU in 2011. He contributed to Washington’s memorable late-season charge to the NFC East title two seasons ago, catching long touchdowns in back-to-back games in November, including a career-long 68-yard score at Dallas on Thanksgiving.
Robinson appeared in five games in 2014 for Washington, catching just one pass. He was waived in December.
Robinson is one of nine receivers on the Ravens’ offseason roster. Starter Torrey Smith, a key vertical threat, can become an unrestricted free agent in March.
