Football is back in Los Angeles. And the football team that has returned to L.A. holds the first pick in the draft.

That team has now used the first pick in the draft.

As expected (#asexpected), the Rams have made Cal quarterback the No. 1 overall selection.

Two weeks ago, the Rams moved from No. 15 to No. 1 in a surprise trade with the Titans, making it clear that the franchise that will be playing at the L.A. Coliseum for the next three years will have a franchise quarterback. The Rams held their cards close to the vest, but it eventually became clear that Goff was the target.

He was the target. He’s now the first incoming first-round rookie to join an L.A. based NFL team since the Raiders picked linebacker Rob Fredrickson in 1994.
