Rams DC Chris Shula: Everything’s day by day with Aaron Donald

The Rams are moving closer to their trip to Australia for their season opener against the 49ers and it remains unclear if defensive tackle Aaron Donald is going to be on the field.

Donald has been practicing with the team, but, per multiple reporters, defensive coordinator Chris Shula declined to say at a Monday press conference whether he’s working in 11-on-11 drills at this point. Shula did say that the team is preparing for all possible scenarios as they put together their game plan for Thursday’s game.

“Everything’s day by day,” Shula said, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. “We’re ready for him if he does, ready for him if he doesn’t, and we’ll have a plan for however many plays he feels like he can go and we’ll go from there.”

The 49ers expect to see Donald on the field in Melbourne and we’ll find out in the next couple of days if that prediction is correct.
