The Raiders waived cornerback / kick returner Coye Francies and linebacker Travis Goethel on Tuesday.
According to the NFL’s official transactions, Francies was waived with a “failure to disclose physical condition” designation.
Francies, 26, led the Raiders in kickoff-return yardage (475) and kickoff returns (20) in 2012. He appeared in 15 games, all as a reserve.
Francies entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick of Cleveland in 2009. He played eight combined regular-season games for the Browns from 2009-2010 before next seeing regular-season action with Oakland in 2012.
The 25-year-old Goethel played eight games as a backup in 2012, notching a pair of tackles. He suffered a torn ACL at Baltimore in November, ending his season. He previously had missed the 2011 campaign because of a knee injury.
Goethel was a sixth-round pick of Oakland in 2010. He’s appeared in 16 regular-season games.
