The Oakland Raiders have bolstered their defensive with former University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack as the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Mack is a very talented playmaker -- some consider him the best prospect in the entire draft -- and Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie had to be thrilled that he was still available when the Raiders’ number came up.
Although there was some talk that the Raiders loved former Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans as a potential first-round pick, Mack is almost universally regarded as the better choice there.
The Raiders haven’t been a good team lately, but they just got a good young player -- the kind of player around whom a team can build a defense.
