On Saturday, Raiders safety Roderic Teamer emerged from injured reserve. On Sunday, his return to game action was derailed.
Via Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Teamer was arrested on DUI charges this morning.
Teamer will not play in Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.
It’s not clear how this happened, given that teams usually stay in a hotel the night before their games, even when they are playing at home. (Some teams have been too cheap tp spend that money, including the Bengals.)
Regardless, it happened. Teamer won’t play today. And he’ll face a potential suspension once the dust settles on the legal process.
In 2020, Teamer was suspended four games under the league’s substance-abuse policy.
