Police report: Warren Sapp prostitution bust came down to price

Warren Sapp had apparently agreed to terms.

But as with many contract negotiations, things got a little complicated when someone tried to add on just before closing.

The police report from Sapp’s post-Super Bowl arrest on prostitution and assault charges was released Wednesday, and according to Jerod MacDonald-Evoy of the Arizona Republic, the dispute between Sapp and two women came down to price.

Sapp was accused of assaulting the two women while forcing them out of his hotel room in downtown Phoenix on Feb. 2.

The report said Sapp met the two women in the hotel bar, and they told him they were dancers. So as a patron of the arts, he invited them to his room and threw $100 bills at them as they performed.

Investigators then said Sapp agreed to give each woman $300 for a specific sex act, one of which was performed (which he filmed with his cell phone). When the 23-year-old dancer asked for additional money for intercourse, an argument erupted.

The woman said she was gathering her things when Sapp grabbed her by both arms and threw her into the hallway, knocking both women down.

“I do what I do, but that doesn’t give him the right to put his hands on me,” the 23-year-old told police.

The 23-year-old victim is facing a prostitution charge, while the 34-year-old companion was cited for failure to register with the state as an escort (Who knew you had to carry your union card?).

Sapp was summarily fired from the NFL Network and sponsors started backing away from him, cutting into his ability to broker such deals in the future.
