The Chargers are no longer a trendy Super Bowl pick. They have burned too many prognosticators too many times.

That’s just fine with Philip Rivers.

The Chargers quarterback joined PFT Live Thursday and appreciated the fact San Diego hasn’t received a lot of buzz this year. (Although I’m thinking about taking them to win the AFC.)

“I think it’s good for us. You mentioned it – there wasn’t the usual hype,” Rivers told Florio. “And I think it’s gonna create a hunger and desire and a focus that hopefully can propel us this year into getting done what we want to get done,” Rivers said.
