Peyton Manning is about to be exposed to the masses

During a Sunday night interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman, Peyton Manning had to worry about the questions of only one person. On the NFL’s first-ever Super Bowl Opening Night, Peyton has to worry about an endless number of them.

When the event formerly known as Media Day launches, Manning will be exposed to hundreds of reporters who won’t be beholden to the Broncos or the league, and who in turn could ask him plenty of questions Berman didn’t.

Manning surely will be asked over and over about whether he’ll be playing in his final game. He could be asked plenty of questions about the lingering HGH investigation arising from Al Jazeera’s report that Manning’s wife received multiple HGH shipments in 2011, with the clear implication they were intended for Peyton.

Here’s the one question Manning should be asked: Will you and your wife sign a release authorizing the Guyer Institute to release all records about your treatment to the NFL?

Emily Kaplan of TheMMQB.com recently reported that the legal team assembled by Manning’s agent, Tom Condon, already has descended on the Guyer Institute to review the information. Why not give the league, which has no subpoena power to compel the Guyer Institute to provide the information, the same privilege?

We’ll see over the next hour or so whether Peyton is asked that or any other questions about the HGH allegations.
