Former TCU linebacker Paul Dawson has something to say about his bad performance at the Scouting Combine.
Dawson, who had a disappointing showing today after entering the Combine as a likely first-round draft pick, took to Twitter after his workout and said that just because he turned in a sub-par 4.93-second 40-yard dash, that doesn’t mean he can’t play football.
“I’m an awesome football player. The best/most productive linebacker in this draft. Not a track Star,” Dawson wrote.

Dawson has to hope some NFL team agrees with his self-assessment and takes him in the first round. It also wouldn’t hurt if Dawson runs better at his Pro Day than he did today.
