Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that the team will be taking things day by day with quarterback Patrick Mahomes as he deals with a high-ankle sprain this week and Tuesday was a positive day for him.
Reid spoke to reporters before practice and said they would see what Mahomes was able to do during a light practice. The answer was that he did everything that the Chiefs asked of him. Mahomes is listed as a full participant on the team’s first injury report of the week.
Wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) was also a full participant. Reid said that Brown could make his regular season debut against the Texans on Saturday.
Center Creed Humphrey (ankle), kicker Harrison Butker (left knee), and right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) were also full participants. Left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (concussion) did not practice.
