Quarterback Patrick Mahomes continues to trend toward playing in Saturday’s game against the Texans.
For the second consecutive practice, Mahomes was a full participant despite suffering an ankle sprain during last Sunday’s win over the Browns.
With Mahomes practicing fully for the first two days of the week, it appears that barring a setback, he will be on the field to start in Week 16.
Mahomes has completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 3,348 yards with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this season.
Receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) also remained a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, keeping him on track to make his season debut on Saturday.
Offensive tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (concussion) remained out of practice.
Center Creed Humphrey (ankle), offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee), and kicker Harrison Butker (left knee) remained full participants.
