Early in the week, we passed along a report that said Patrick Crayton would need to avoid surgery on his dislocated wrist to return to play this season.
Well, he underwent surgery. But the Chargers are hopeful he will return with a few weeks left in the season.
Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports Crayton could return as early as December 16.
He will miss this week, but it sounds likely the team will have wide receivers Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee available, ready to join Vincent Jackson for the first time all season. Antonio Gates also says he’ll try to practice this week.
