Given the aftermath of the Giants’ World Series win, there was concern that -- win or lose -- folks in San Francisco would take to the street and create mischief and mayhem.
Fortunately, there were no public displays of unrest after the 49ers lost a game that some insist was influenced by a bad non-call on a pivotal fourth-and-goal play late in the game.
In Baltimore, fans of the winning team reportedly tried to flip a car, and there were claims of looting at a 7-11. Riot police also were brought in on horseback to control the crowd.
Still, it appears that, for the most part, everyone behaved. Which is a good thing.
