Nissan retains naming rights for new Titans stadium

The new Titans stadium will officially have a familiar name.

The Titans announced on Friday that Nissan has retained the naming rights for its new venue, which will also be called Nissan Stadium.

It’s a 20-yard agreement for the new stadium, which is set to open in 2027.

“This partnership is a natural extension of our already longstanding friendship with Nissan,” Titans president and CEO Burke Nihill said in a statement. “Our mission at the Titans is to Win, Serve, and Entertain. We pride ourselves on collaborating with organizations who love this city and state as much as we do, and for the past 40 years, Nissan has invested more than $10.5 billion statewide, serving as a great example of an outstanding corporate steward and community advocate.

“We look forward to the continued positive impact of this relationship for the Titans organization and the City of Nashville.”

Nissan first acquired the naming rights for the Titans’ current stadium in 2015. The venue, which opened in 1999, has previously been known as Adelphia Coliseum and LP Field.

The new Nissan Stadium will be built adjacent to the present stadium along Nashville’s East Bank. The Titans will continue to play at their current home until the new venue is complete.
