NFL moves Falcons-Commanders to Sunday night, announces three Saturday games for Week 17

The NFL has announced the Week 17 schedule, which includes a Sunday Night Football flex and three games on Saturday.

The Atlanta Falcons will visit to Washington to take on the Commanders on Sunday Night Football on NBC. That game replaces the previously scheduled Miami Dolphins vs. Cleveland Browns game, which now moves to Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.

The league also determined the three Saturday games that will take place on December 28: Los Angeles Chargers vs. New England Patriots at 1 p.m. ET, Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals at 4:30 p.m. ET and Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams at 8 p.m. ET.

In the final weeks of the season, the NFL tries to maintain more flexibility with its scheduling to have matchups that are meaningful to the playoff race in the broadcast windows that the most fans will be able to watch. The final schedule for Week 18 will be announced after Week 17.
