While New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is keeping several assistants from Tom Coughlin’s staff in place, there are a few changes being made to the coaching staff.

According to Tom Rock of Newsday, the Giants are going to hire Green Bay Packers assistant offensive line coach Mike Solari as their new offensive line coach.

Solari is a well-respected line coach with 28 years of NFL coaching experience. He’s coached for the Dallas Cowboys, Phoenix Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Packers during his many stops around the league.

He helped author several of the Chiefs’ stellar running games with Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson from 1997-2007 and led the strong 49ers offensive line under Jim Harbaugh in recent years. Solari joined the Packers as an assistant after Harbaugh was blown out in San Francisco.
