The Buccaneers have had an ideal start to the second half of their matchup with the Chargers.
After forcing a Los Angeles punt, Tampa Bay got a 57-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield to Mike Evans, giving Tampa Bay a 20-17 lead.
That capped a five-play, 83-yard drive that took just 2:54 off the clock.
Mayfield was flushed out of the pocket to his left, then was able to hit Evans deep down the left sideline. Evans bounced off a defender and went the rest of the way for his eighth touchdown of the season.
Evans is now in sole possession of No. 9 on the all-time list in career touchdown receptions. Davante Adams had tied him earlier in the day.
