Former Falcons and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has interviewed for the head coaching vacancy at Norfolk State.
Vick confirmed to The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press that he spoke with Norfolk University president and athletic director and is expecting a resolution “soon.”
While Vick does not have formal coaching experience, he said, “I know how to lead and I know what it takes.”
Norfolk State, a public historically black university in Norfolk, Va., fired its previous coach, Dawson Odums, on Nov. 26. He had gone 15-31 in four seasons with the program.
Vick has served as an analyst for Fox Sports since 2017.
