Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher, whose high school years were the subject of the book and movie The Blind Side, has now signed a book deal of his own.
Gotham Books has announced that Oher’s autobiography, titled I Beat the Odds, will be published in February 2011.
Oher himself has expressed ambivalence about the way he’s been portrayed in the media, so for people who have read or seen The Blind Side, Oher’s book will be an interesting look at how he views his formative years.
Oher’s adoptive mother Leigh Anne Tuohy (played by Sandra Bullock in the movie) and adoptive father Sean Tuohy (played by Tim McGraw) are also writing a book, which will come out this summer.
