Packers receiver Greg Jennings has missed nearly two weeks with a concussion suffered during the team’s annual Family Night scrimmage. According to the Associated Press, it’s unlikely that Jennings will play on Thursday, when the Packers host the Browns in Week Two of the preseason.

Jennings also is unlikely to play until he is back to full strength. Said coach Mike McCarthy, “We’re not going to put him out there until we’re 100 percent that he’s clear.”

It’s unclear when that will happen. It’s clear that the Packers need him.

And it’s encouraging that the Packers are setting that aside and focusing on ensuring that Jennings is healthy before he sets foot on the field again.
