Denver’s Marvin Mims had a big day as a punt returner, heavily contributing to the Broncos’ 31-13 victory over the Colts.
He’s now been named AFC special teams player of the week.
Mims had 97 punt return yards, including a 61-yard punt return in the fourth quarter that set up Denver’s go-ahead touchdown. He had the most punt return yards in Week 15.
This is the second special teams player of the week award for Mims.
In 14 games this year, the second-year receiver has caught 23 passes for 287 yards with two touchdowns. He’s rushed for 40 yards on 11 carries. He also averaging a league-high 15.7 yards per punt return and has averaged 27.8 yards on six kick returns.
