Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton sealed the Week 5 win over the Falcons by intercepting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in overtime. Hamilton apparently knew it was coming.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey explained on his podcast that Hamilton perked up when Tua entered the game for starter Michael Penix Jr.
Humphrey, who took no pleasure in bashing his “‘Bama brother,” said Hamilton had a clear reaction when he noticed that Tagovailoa was replacing Penix, who suffered a rib injury in the fourth quarter.
“Kyle was like, ‘Tua in the game.’ Like he knew he was gonna get a pick. He literally was like, ‘Oh, he’s gonna throw me one.’ Like, he was so excited. It was the most excited I’ve probably seen Kyle. . . . He basically knew he was gonna get a pick.”
And Hamilton did, on Tua’s second throw of overtime. It moved the Ravens to 4-1, putting Baltimore in sole possession of first place in the AFC North.
