While there’s been no definitive word from the Texans on what exactly caused coach Gary Kubiak to collapse Sunday night, there is a bit of good news.
According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Kubiak has been cleared by doctors and released from the hospital.
Kubiak will miss this week’s game with Arizona, and they’ll presumably continue to be led by defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who filled in the second half of Sunday’s game. But the plan is for Kubiak to return the following week.
That’s a promising sign for Kubiak, if doctors are willing to let him go back to work so soon.
