Kirk Cousins throws first TD since Week 9 to give Falcons 7-0 lead

Kirk Cousins had no touchdowns and eight interceptions in the past four games.

But in the first quarter of Monday Night Football, the Falcons quarterback threw his first touchdown pass since Week 9.

Drake London got wide open on a double move, catching a 30-yard touchdown pass from Cousins. The Falcons lead 7-0 after the first quarter.

Cousins was 4-for-4 for 51 yards on the six-play, 51-yard drive.

The good field position was set up by pressure on Raiders punter A.J. Cole, who had a 30-yard punt to the Atlanta 49.

The Falcons’ could have a bigger lead, but they did nothing with Kevin King’s recovery of an Alexander Mattison fumble. The Falcons took over at the Las Vegas 48 and gained only 10 yards before punting.

The punt sailed into the end zone for a net punt of 18 yards.

The Falcons, though, made the most of the short field on their second drive.
