The Falcons’ secondary is a mess. And Kirk Cousins is taking advantage.
In Atlanta, where three rookies are starting in the secondary, Washington’s receivers have been getting open throughout the first half. Cousins, filling in at quarterback for Robert Griffin III, has done a great job of capitalizing.
In fact, Cousins is well on his way to topping Griffin’s career-high total of 329 passing yards. Cousins has completed 11 of 17 passes for 234 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the first half.
In this battle of the NFC’s two most disappointing teams, Cousins is looking good.
