The Jets welcomed a running back back to practice on Monday while they continued to wait for another one to get past his hamstring injury once and for all.

Khiry Robinson was activated from the physically unable to perform list after he missed the offseason program and first stretch of training camp while recovering from last year’s fractured tibia. Robinson, who signed with the Jets this offseason, last played in Week Eight of last season so there’s going to be some rust to knock off in the coming days.

Robinson’s return comes while Matt Forte’s hamstring issue continues to be an obstacle to a full workload. Forte practiced one day last week, but has otherwise been on the sideline throughout camp and was all but officially ruled out of this week’s preseason opener by coach Todd Bowles.

The Jets also announced that they have signed wide receiver Anthony Kelly and defensive lineman Christo Bilukidi, who has seen action with the Raiders, Bengals and Ravens since entering the league as a 2012 sixth-round pick. Defensive lineman Julien Obioha was waived/injured and wide receiver Chris King, who was claimed off waivers last week, was placed on the did not report list.
