Justin Houston is expected to return for the Chiefs on Sunday

Although the Chiefs are in first place in the AFC west, Derrick Johnson says they aren't worried about being overlooked.

A wise man once told me the only thing better than being rich and famous is being rich.

The Chiefs are the NFL’s current equivalent of that saying, given that they have generated a 17-2 over their last 19 games and few seem to notice. Those who do don’t seem to care.

Either way, the rich-but-not-famous team is about to get richer. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, linebacker Justin Houston is expected to return to action on Sunday.

Houston had surgery in February to repair his ACL. Some feared he’d miss the entire season; in September, the Chiefs were targeting a November return.

If as effective as he has been in the past, the Chiefs will instantly have a crippling pass rush. Dee Ford, a full-time starter in his third season is tied for the NFL lead in sacks with 10.0. (Lorenzo Alexander of the Bills also has 10.0; Vic Beasley of the Falcons and Von Miller of the Broncos each have 9.5.)

The 7-2 Chiefs face the Buccaneers in Kansas City on Sunday. Next week, the Chiefs travel to Denver for a flexed Sunday Night Football showdown with the Broncos.

And here’s where I parlay the fact that this item was about the Chiefs into an excuse to include the video of linebacker Derrick Johnson’s recent visit to PFT Live.
