Josh Allen will start in Week 18, but will not play long

The Bills can’t change their playoff seed in Week 18, but they will be starting quarterback Josh Allen against the Patriots.

Head coach Sean McDermott announced the team’s plan on Monday, but Allen won’t be getting much of a chance to bolster his MVP case during the game. Allen has started 114 straight regular season and postseason games and McDermott told reporters that he will be in the lineup in order to continue that streak.

“You’ll see some starters out there playing. Some other players we want to get a look at,” McDermott said of plans beyond Allen, via Sal Capaccio of WGR550.

The Bills will host a game in the wild card round. They could face the Broncos, Dolphins, or Bengals depending on how things play out in Week 18.
