Bills quarterback Josh Allen confirmed a report that he fractured his left hand on a fourth quarter touchdown run in the Week 1 win over the Cardinals.
He appeared on the practice report in Weeks 2-11 with a non-throwing hand injury but didn’t miss a practice or a game.
“Yeah,” Allen said this week, via Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. “It’s the left one, so it don’t really matter that much.”
Allen is back on the report for the first time since Week 12, but injuries to his right shoulder and his right elbow did not slow him this week. He was a full participant all week and has no injury designation.
Allen took a “funky fall” on his shoulder in Week 15 but was not on the injury report in Week 16. In Sunday’s win over the Patriots, he took a helmet to the funny bone and briefly lost feeling in his right hand.
“Just a little sore from this last game,” Allen said. “Probably took too many opportunities for them to lay their hands and pads on me. I’ve just got to be smarter and make sure that we’re rolling here.”
